A few years ago the first Köln-Marathon took place in Cologne.
On my favorite radio station Eins Live I listened to a live transmition of a reporter who took part.
Then I asked myself if I could do a marathon too. During my time at the army I also was one of more fit runners. So I started my training and I took part in the Rhein-Ruhr-Marathon next spring and I finished with 3:44:40. This and my enthusiasm for long distance running made and still make me keep myself in shape.
All in all I ran 6 marathons and I finished them all. The last one was the medien.marathon in Munich at the 13.10.2002 as some kind of birthday present to myself. It was a wonderfull sight-seeing course with good weather.
