I read some different things:

Online in the W3

  • heise-Newsticker
    Germany's most popular IT-newsticker.
  • Slashdot
The organ of the open-source comunity. Important news for all Nerds (and those who want to become Nerds).
  • Pro-Linux
One of the biggest german-spoken sites dealing with Linux and Open Source.

Mailing-Lists

  • BugTraq
  • Full-Disclosure

Newspapers and Magazines

  • FAZ - Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
One of the biggest and most reputable newspapers in Germany. Maybe somewhat conservative.
  • c't - magazin für computertechnik
A very good computer magazine. Possibly the one with the most readers in Germany. Every two weeks.
  • LinuxUser
A magazine for Linux-beginners. There are also articles which are quite interesting and useful for "Linux-Professionals".
  • Linux-Magazin
A magazine especially for "Linux-Professionals" (one may say I am one). Surely worth reading if one gets involved with Linux.
  • Informatik Spektrum
A valuable magazine which addresses computer science issues. Organ of the "Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V.".
  • Computer-Zeitung
Weekly magazine like a newspaper. Fast information with little depth. Information seen from the point of view of commercial computer users and analysts.
